Former McDonalds Executive to Open San Francisco Oven Franchises

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio-San Francisco Oven signed a 5-unit development agreement with Robert Rohde, former director of operations for McDonalds, to develop San Francisco Oven restaurants in the Columbus and greater Cleveland areas. The Columbus location, at 65 East State Street, is scheduled to open in August of this year.

Rohdeís interest in San Francisco Oven began when the first restaurant opened near his home in Willoughby. ěThe new restaurant is fresh and exciting and appeals to people right now. I chose San Francisco Oven because of its tremendous food quality, unique positioning in the marketplace and superior operation. I look forward to being part of this system as it rolls out all over the country,î Rohde said.

ěWe are honored to have someone with Bobís experience as part of the San Francisco Oven team. His business background as well as passion for San Francisco Oven will be a huge asset for our system,î president, Matt Harper said. ěHe will pave the way for the growth that is available in the Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Toledo areas.î

San Francisco Oven offers a ěTaste of the Bay Areaî specializing in award-winning brick oven pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, fresh soups and salads, as well as beer and wine from Northern California. They also offer a full catering menu and their own ěTake and Bakeî pizzas. The restaurants are 2500-3500 square feet and seat 80-120 guests.
